ALLIE

I vaguely feel Mason’s arms unwrap from around me and his body slowly slide away. My eyes slowly open to Mason’s small room at the clubhouse not that I could forget that I agreed to stay here. I woke up at every small sound; the wind outside, Jack or Nox coming and leaving, when Mason snuck away to his computer. I roll over and watch Mason walk to his bathroom and shut the door. He convinced me to call in from work, so I don't have anything to do today except go pick out new flooring with Callum and annoy Mason. I can’t go home, not until Mason figures out who that guy was, and I don't want to go to my friends’ houses because I don't want to put them in anyone’s line of sight.

The door opens and Mason steps out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his slim waist, walking to his dresser that’s next to it. He pulls out clothes and gets dressed, and I lay in his hard bed watching his firm ass as he bends and pulls on boxers and jeans. The tight muscles of his back flex as he pulls on his shirt. I miss my bed. It helped a lot to have him with me last night, though. Anytime I was spooked by a sound or remembered seeing that guy in my mirror behind me, he was there. Holding me tightly and making me feel safe. It felt great, but in the back of my mind, I was missing Saint. Not wishing I was with him instead of Mason, but wishing that he was here too.

“Where are you going?” I ask when Mason moves to his desk and pulls his cut off of his chair.

“Church. Downstairs. You can stay in bed, I'll only be gone for a little while.” Mason walks to where I'm laying in bed and leans down, placing a kiss on my forehead.

“What are you guys meeting about?” I ask when he pulls away. His eyes dance around the room and he sucks his lips between his teeth. It sets in exactly what they’re going to be discussing. “It’s about me, isn't it? You told them?”

“I killed someone last night, Allie. I had to tell them,” Mason says calmly.

I toss the comforter off of me and shoot to my feet, stalking to my overnight bag on Mason’s dresser and pulling out a cream, oversized, chunky knit sweater, a pair of distressed denim shorts, and a simple pair of black YSL sandals. My hair air-dried last night after my shower and it falls in slight waves over my shoulders.

“Allie, you can’t—” Mason starts.

“I’m coming, Mason. This is about me, I deserve to be there.” I pin him with a look that lets him know I'm going whether he likes it or not.

He sighs and walks out of the room and I follow closely behind him, finger-combing my hair as we walk down the hallway.

When we get to the bottom of the stairs, I see all of the guys walking into the room that I guess is the Chapel.
